My father recently experienced a fall in his home.  We are thankful that he did not break any bones or suffer any internal injuries; however, this situation did serve as a wake up call to us that some changes were needed for him to stay safe in his home.

Lee of Home Safety Innovations was wonderful to work with.  He is knowledgeable, competent, personable, and responsive.  I was particularly impressed that after calling him on a Friday afternoon he was able to meet with me the following Monday afternoon.  He was able to install grab bars that same day and was able to come back the next morning to install an additional basement stair railing.  I am extremely pleased with the workmanship, along with the speed of service.  Dad can now come home from rehab to a place that is safe and will meet his new mobility needs.

We were on strict schedule and needed a ramp within a few days. After being contacted Lee came over on a Sunday to install the temporary wheelchair ramp so we could use when I came home. I would recommend this Company and will use them again if needed.

These folks are outstanding — and went well out of their way to help! After a farm accident and month of hospitalization and rehabilitation, my husband was cleared to return home on July 9. But with only a few days to spare, we learned that his release was dependent on having a ramp installed at our house. Home Safety Innovations came highly recommended by the folks at Sacred Heart Hospital’s inpatient rehab team.
When I called — on a Sunday, mind you — Lee answered immediately. I explained the situation and that we needed a ramp installed by the following Thursday. Lee said that HSI had experienced a hitherto unprecedented demand for ramps and didn’t currently have one available due to supply chain issues with the manufacturers. But he promised to see what he could find out and get back to me.
In the meantime, I checked other local resources to no avail. Many of them didn’t respond to my calls and emails. Those who did either said they didn’t rent ramps … but by golly, they had what we needed in stock and would be willing to sell me one for a ridiculous amount of money and offered to put me on their waiting list.
On Tuesday, Lee alerted me that he had a customer from out of state who wanted to sell back a ramp he ended up purchasing from HSI and no longer needed. He and his crew would be able to make the 20-hour trip on Wednesday to pick it up! At 2 p.m. on Thursday, Lee and his crew arrived and installed a sturdy aluminum ramp. Their efficiency and expertise was apparent. On Friday morning, I was able to bring my husband home.
Talk about going the extra distance! We couldn’t be more pleased with HSI’s service and the reasonable price.

Bathroom remodel – walk in shower conversion to barrier free shower conversion

Dean and I would like to thank Lee and Dustin for the work they did on Thursday 17th June 2021 at our home.

We were told they would arrive at 7-8am and would take until 5pm to do the work needed. They arrived at 7.05 and left at 4.45 and in that time they worked through not taking a break. They did the work it looks wonderful and this morning Dean had his first shower with his carers and it achieved its goal.

They worked clean and tidy and were pleasant and caring about Deans needs and courteous to myself and his care people as they came and went.

We would highly recommend their work and their company, they understood better than other companies that quoted for work as to what a quadriplegic person requires from his shower.

Lee was great to work with. My schedule didn’t allow me to be there for the initial estimate, nor the install. He did a great job of explaining what could be done, and the install was perfect! Can’t say enough about the ramp – looks good and done to perfection!!

My husband had his foot and lower leg amputated, and after 6 weeks in  Mayo  Hospital’s  Transitional Rehab Unit in Sparta he was able to return home because Dustin from HSI installed stander poles and grab bars to allow for independent and safe transferring from the wheelchair to bed,  bathroom, lift recliner chair, stair chair lift and car, etc.   This equipment has kept   Ken out of a nursing home, especially important during these times of COVID 19, and we are grateful for  HSI and Dustin.

Dustin and Lee were professional, prompt and reasonable. They enabled my mom to come home after an ankle surgery that otherwise would have had her in a nursing home. They are truly experts at what they do and their services have been what our county and surrounding counties have been lacking! Lee & Dustin have just helped my 97 year old mother continue to live in her own home. Their knowledge, understanding, patience, and compassion for older people have helped Mom accept a few changes in the bathroom, bedroom and living area that will help keep her from falling and out of the nursing home. As a retired aging department director I know a home evaluation with their ability to incorporate safety suggestions on the spot will be just what the aging Baby Boomers, and their parents appreciate!

I have contacted Dustin and Lee on two occasions and am very pleased with their quick responses, solutions offered and services provided. They were professional, knowledgeable, easy to work with, and resources for my mobility impaired parents. I highly recommend them!
